Wisdom Wednesday: How to Learn Your Times Tables Easily

Today I’m going to chat to you about times tables.

Now let’s face it when we think about times tables we just think oh yuck we hate those times tables. Most children have to think really hard to get the answers.

I remember how long it took me when I was back at school to learn the answers to the times tables. But we just got on with it. We didn’t question the system, we just learned those times tables. And I actually found them hard to remember which is when I probably started to have that hate relationship with maths. Which is an attitude that probably stuck with me for years. It’s frustrating having to go over and over and over something again just so we can learn to remember it. and so it becomes embedded in our long-term memory. That is just so boring.

Memorisng the times tables is all about knowledge.
